Waterfall by KJSummerfield Waterfall by KJSummerfield
Its a waterfall in a local park. Above the waterfall is a rather horrible looking bridge with an over flow from the park lake..Not very picturesque..

i agree with you about the dynamic nature of the falls and the composition is nothing special. the left side seems kind of dead. what about cropping the pic in half and loosing a lot the left side. accentuate the verticality of the falling water. the splash at the top and the rocks at the right side and below would really stand out.
i read some of the other ideas below and i think the B&W one is definitely worth trying. short of going back, i don't know about getting a different angle or different lighting. i guess if you live close enough that wouldn't be an issue.

this shot is beautiful. i wonder how it would look in black and white though because the contrast of the waterfall and the rocks is so good

I think it looks great, the movement in the picture is good, but I think a different angle would be better, maybe at ground level looking up?? I dont know. We'd have to try??:):):headbang:

I agree about the composition, maybe add more of the rock face on the side to be seen. O rmaybe a different angle, however, I don't know if you caught the look of the water by a long exposure time but it look great.

I would have liked to see a bit more movement so as to create a different atmosphere. Maybe waiting till later in the day or using a filter or something.

I used my circular polarizer to slow the shutter speed down with this..The sun really isn't an issue with regards to lighting and camera speed as its under the cover of surrounding trees. It was taken early morning..
A reshoot I think:)
Cheers for the input mate:)
